[Review] April Skin Magic Snow Cushion Pink SPF50+ PA+++

I can't believe it's the middle of August already! I disappeared for a moment due to job searching (still no job), but glad to be back again. Today I'll be talking about my go-to cushion for everyday, the April Skin Magic Snow Cushion Pink ($19.29) in the color "Green" courtesy of BB Cosmetic. I've been obsessed with watching color correcting makeup on YouTube lately, so I was excited to try out this particular cushion. This is a "tone corrector" meant to be used alongside your regular foundation/bb cream, but I typically use it by itself.

[Review] Choonee Water Lip Tint Balm

For the past week, I've been trying out the Choonee Water Lip Tint Balms in Grapefruit, Cherry, and Peach sent to me by BB Cosmetic. In other words, the colors are orange, red, and pink. My lips have been ridiculously chapped and dry lately due to all the matte lipsticks I've been obsessed with, so I've been gravitating towards lip balms more often lately to give my lips a break and let them heal.

Matcha Doin': 3 Simple Ways to Incorporate Matcha in Your Life

If you personally knew me over a year ago, then you would have seen how obsessed I was with drinking brewed tea and making my own matcha latte at home. For a good while, I would wake up early before getting ready for work to heat up some milk in a pan and whisk it together with matcha powder using a traditional bowl and bamboo whisk. And then, I eventually got lazy. I recently stumbled upon my large bag of matcha powder and thought, "why let it go to waste?" Thus, here I am talking to you all about 3 really simple ways to incorporate matcha in your life with common ingredients that are probably already in your kitchen.

[Review] Holika Holika After Sheet Mask - Sauna

Time to review mask #3 of 4, the Holika Holika After Sheet Mask - Sauna, courtesy of Beauteque's Mask Marketplace launch. I won't be reviewing the last mask on here though. I feel like 5 posts on masks is overkill. More info on that later.

I had originally purchased this mask because I occasionally visit my gym's sauna, and thought it would interesting to test it out. But the weather has been so hot here in Texas, just getting in my car after it's been sitting outside for 8 hours feels like a sauna already. There actually may be something wrong with my car's A/C (getting it checked/fixed tomorrow), so I end up sweating...a lot. Which means it'll be a great time to test this out before I get the air fixed!

[Review] Berrisom Oops Soda Bubble Mask - PoreTox Fruit

It's time for mask #2 of 4, courtesy of Beauteque's Mask Marketplace launch. Today's mask is the Berrisom Oops Sode Bubble Mask-PoreTox Fruit ($3.00). I find individual masks tend to be a little more expensive when there's something "special" about them, i.e. bubbles, animal prints, etc. If you happen to have read my previous post, then you know how disappointed I was about the last mask. Hopefully, this has different results.

[Review] Tsaio Witch Hazel Oil Control Mask Sheet

The Tsaio Witch Hazel Oil Control Mask Sheet is the first out of four masks I'll be reviewing from as part of their new Mask Marketplace launch. One of the main reasons why I chose this mask was because witch hazel is known to help with acne, blemishes, and oily skin (just to name a few). And guess what, I have problems with all three of those things! Yay me.

Starting today, July 1st, they are they rebranding and focusing on being the one-stop mask retailer (subscription boxes will not change).

[Review] Prelab Toning Peeling Tap

Hello! I wanted to do a quick review for the Prelab Toning Peeling Tap ($20) that I received from my Beauteque BB Bag last month. When I first saw this container, I was automatically drawn to it just by pure curiosity. I got even more excited when I saw the word "peeling" on it. I have a wee bit of an obsession with peels and exfoliants. Upon further inspection, I found out that this cylinder has 15 individual peeling taps inside

[Travel] Chicago Adventures

I finally had enough courage to turn in my two weeks resignation at work, with my final day being on the 24th of June. Feelings of both excitement and fear continually creep up on me, as I head more towards the unknown. To keep myself distracted, I thought I'd share a couple of photos from my Chicago trip last month.
*Some were posted on my Snapchat and Instagram, just in case anyone who is following me sees something familiar.

[Review] Pinkicon O-lens BaviPhat 3 Color Pink

Back with another circle lens review! Pinkicon kindly contacted me asking if I wanted to review one of their lenses, so of course I pounced right on that opportunity.

I've been wearing brown lenses lately just because it looks more natural for everyday wear. However, I've also been really wanting to try out another pair of pink lenses. I have love-hate relationship with pink lenses because there's a really thin line between looking like a princess vs looking like a sick rat. I decided to just take a stab at it and the one I ended up choosing were these: O-lens BaviPhat 3 Color Pink.

My 3-Day Juice Cleanse Experience

Hi! I'm currently writing this during Day 3 of my juice cleanse. I wasn't planning on documenting about my experience, but I recall saying I would last year when I did the cleanse and never got around to doing it because I was so crabby and hungry afterwards.

[Review] GEO Twinkle Pink Circle Lens from Klenspop

Back with another pair of lens review!
Hello all~
This has actually been on my draft lists for months, but I was so frustrated with my eyelids in the pictures, I kept putting it off! Stupid excuse, but it was enough to keep my from finishing :<
If you read my previous circle lens review, you would know that comfort just wasn't there for my last pair and I ended up having to throw it away. Thankfully, I had ordered three other pairs of lenses from Klenspop that came in around the same time. I always order more than one lenses just in case one pair ends up being a dud, which happens too many times.

One of the ones I picked was Twinkle Pink, $18.00

Diameter: 14.2mm
Water Content: 40%
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Life Span: 6 month disposal
Manufacturer: GEO

[Review] Cosrx Make Me Lovely Cream

One of my resolutions this year is saving, which I certainly did not do in 2015. Many of my purchases included beauty products, some I haven't even tried out yet. The Make Me Lovely Cream ($16.00) from Cosrx happens to be one of them, and today I'll finally be reviewing it ^.^

According to Cosrx, the Make Me Lovely Cream took 3 months of Research & Design and conducted test 7 times in regards to the color and texture.

Cheers to the New Year & Resolutions~

Excuse the hair all-over stoic face & peeling chin. Shoutout to SNOW for making me unnecessarily pale.
I'm sure many of your already have noticed, but I changed my url! Though my previous username felt much more than an identity to me, I realized that a new year meant it was time for a new beginning. When I first started my blog a year ago, I was in somewhat of a recovery stage. Full time school and work was overwhelming and I would occasionally get countless anxiety attacks. There would be days when all I did was roll into a ball and cry for hours, not really knowing or understanding why.

stressed, but kawaii will be something I'll always remember and cherish, as it was my beginning. Shijaki banida means that starting is half the task, or well begun is half done. When we take a stab at experiencing something new or different, we often have the courage to take the first step. The easy step. However, as more obstacles tend to get in our way, it's easier to just drop everything and move on to the next thing. This new name is a reminder that stopping halfway on something is no better than not starting it at all. I want to finally accomplish something and be proud of it.

At work, my coworker wanted us to put our New Year's resolutions on the white board. While she quickly made her list, I stared at my blank space unsure of what I could possibly write that wouldn't turn into complete failure.

Here are some of my resolutions thus far:

  1. Be Positive, Be Nice. As cliche it may sound, being nice and positive has always been a part of my list mostly because I have never fully achieved it. Dealing with anxiety and depression in the past really made me put everything in such a negative light for a very long time. Being in a dark period drains you, and I feel like I took it out on others that didn't deserve it. Through this, I also hope more happiness is just around the corner.
  2. Get fit. Another cliche and overused resolution. This time though, it's imperative for me. In the past two years of working at my current job, I have gained almost a total of 30 lbs (13.61 kg). In the beginning I didn't mind much at all, but I've currently been getting impairing migraines and stomach cramps. Not only that, but my energy levels are drained and I feel a sense of dread when I wake up in the morning. Awfully depressing, I know. While I have completely stopped drinking/partying this past year, I am definitely still living an unhealthy lifestyle eating junk and sitting around all day. My office plans on doing a Biggest Loser competition and the winner receives $1,000. Though I most likely will not win, I hope to use it as motivation regardless. TMI WARNING: I plan on doing a colon cleanse that supposedly also removes possible parasites in your body (ones we are not aware of). More info here. If you guys are interested in possibly an update about it, let me know! I probably won't take pictures of the results, but I'd be excited to share progress if anything does happen.
  3. Save money. I feel I have so much debt for my age (mostly from school), yet I can't hold back on making purchases. I'll be spending more time thinking about what I need rather than what I want. Reduce impulse buying!
  4. Take a chance. At the beginning of 2013, a lot of things changed. One of my best friends broke up with her boyfriend of 8 years, found her soulmate a month later, and then moved 4 hours away. By 2014, they were married and brought a daughter into this world in 2015. Though these things didn't happen to me, it did change my life drastically. The constant partying and drinking with friends every weekend stopped, and many of us just went our separate ways. I know it may not seem connected, but losing so many friends turned me into a hermit who became afraid of the world. Staying comfortable with familiarity was better than taking chances and applying change. This year, I want to put myself out there even if I may fail. Failure is what makes us stronger and hungry for more. I want to grow, travel, and be faced with new challenges.
  5. Continue Blogging. Sometimes it's easier said than done, but it's something I know I need to work on. I have so many things to say, yet can never find the rights words to say it with. There's so many drafts I have left to finish, and it's my goal to have them published by this month. Also still working on the new layout..slowly but surely :)
I know I probably sound like a broken record with these resolutions, but I will continue listing them until I do see some change. Reading it here, it looks and seems easily within my grasp, but it really hasn't been. I have so much work to do on myself, and I'm both scared and excited with what 2016 will bring.

Let us all forget the pain and troubles encountered in 2015 and focus on the new happiness this new year will bring! Stay safe, stay awesome.

P.S. If you haven't already, check out my previous blog post discussing my skincare routine and a giveaway!
